Evidence-Based Continuing Education, Presentations, & Other Engagements

The SENSE-ational Spaces team was co-founded by two registered and licensed occupational therapists who have a passion for education. They provide presentations and continuing education opportunities for companies, schools, educators, and organizations surrounding the topics of sensory processing, trauma-based care, environmental modification, and more.

  • Alexi and Marlee have extensive knowledge in childhood development, motor development, sensory systems, and providing easy to implement supports for children with self-regulation needs. I highly recommend Senseational Spaces, and can’t say enough about the impactful work they do with schools and families.

    OTR/L

  • Alexi and Marlee are some of the post passionate people I have ever met! They truly want the best for your child and will do whatever it takes. They are so knowledgable about their field and are extremely hard working. Definitely recommend their services!

    Symposium Coordinator

  • Thank-you for sharing SO many wonderful ideas. This was a very refreshing and positive session. I felt there were many tricks I'll remember to share with teachers for our kiddos.

    OTR/L

  • Excellent presentation - I really enjoyed the positive considerations regarding life and practice change during our Covid era.

    COTA

  • SENSE-ational Spaces gave a fabulous presentation to our early childhood parents in our parent education classes. Marlee and Alexi are doing amazing work! 💗

    Early Childhood Parent Educator

  • These two professionals were highly knowledgeable and organized in their presentation abilities!

    OTR/L

  • It was an excellent reminder of the environmental stressors that our kids go through daily and how best to meet those academic needs in the classroom.

    OTR/L

  • I loved the breakdown of the senses and how each one can affect the students. I also found reading the effects of Covid on the students to be helpful.

    OTR/L

  • The most beneficial part of the presentation was the information about how trauma affects the parts of the brain associated with sensory processing and how OTs can provide trauma informed care with a basis of meeting sensory needs/safety.

    OTR/L

  • The review of the sensory systems and the impact on function. It brought to mind specific students / school environments that will allow me to improve the student program.
